Houston Chronicle recently conducted an interview with Bad Religion frontman Greg Graffin, who talked about songwriting, the State of American politics, and his future plans, which include his next book and the next Bad Religion album. Video clips from that interview can be viewed below.
Asked in the interview when Bad Religion fans can expect a new album, Greg replied:
“Next year. You know, Brett and I will start writing some more, but…you know, these things are not like the water faucet. You can’t just turn on hot water. It’s very, you know…it’s a struggle to write quality, and if we didn’t have a legacy of quality, we wouldn’t be sitting here today. So, it’s…you know, it’s been three years and some people wonder, ‘Why can’t you put out a new record every year?’ ‘Cause it wouldn’t be very good.”
The new Bad Religion record will be the band’s first studio album since 2013?s True North, and their first one with new members Mike Dimkich (replacing Greg Hetson) on guitar and Jamie Miller (replacing Brooks Wackerman) on drums.
