Hey, Slipknot fans, did you help Corey Taylor raise over $1,000 for the homeless via his Instagram?
Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your ass got catfished.
The Instagram account in question does not, in fact, belong to the Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman, as made apparent by this recent Twitter interaction between Taylor and fan Elena Salcedo:

I need people to help me spread the word: I’M NOT ON INSTAGRAM. This person is an imposter and is taking money from people. https://t.co/Kt0LL1EKR3

Yikes. PS, Corey, the Crusty Jugglers reference? Fucking side-splitting.
The Instagram account has since been taken down (our boy Brian Storm at Rock Feed reported it), but apparently had 51,000 followers at one point. If you got fooled, I’m sorry, but this is a solid reminder why so many online handles are, like, ‘TheRealEmperorRhombus’ or ‘EmperorRhombusOFFICIAL’.
We’ll let you know if they announce a way for you to get your money back.
