A Snippet of A New Body Count Song, ‘No Lives Matter’

Ice-T is now not only an elder statesman of rap, but also an elder statesman of hardcore. Next year will mark the 25th anniversary of the first Body Count album, which is kind of insane. Not that they’re resting on their laurels, though. After Body Count put out their first album in eight years, Manslaughter, in 2014, they’ll be following it up in March with Bloodlust. Given that their first album had the controversial “Cop Killer,” you wouldn’t expect Ice to mellow in his middle age, and yesterday, he shared a clip of the video being shot for the album’s first single, “No Lives Matter.” It addresses the Black Lives Matter movement, or rather, the “All Lives Matter” movement racist people are fond of rebutting. Not surprisingly, Ice thinks that’s bullshit, which is how the video, and perhaps the song, start off. You can hear the whole thing when Bloodlust us released in March on Century Media.
