Bobaflex Eloquent Demons August 2017 Release of The Month

It was a close battle that ended up with a lead change going into the final day, but Bobaflex‘s Eloquent Demons has been voted by Loudwire’s readers as the August 2017 Release of the Month. Quiet Riot’s Road Rage got off to an early lead, but Bobaflex’s Eloquent Demons closed the gap late in the voting and eventually surpassed Road Rage for the victory. Meanwhile, Galaktikon’s Galaktikon II: Become the Storm finished third in the voting for the month.

BFX Records

Eloquent Demons is the band’s eighth studio album, but their first featuring guitarist Dave Tipple and bassist Jymmy Tolland. The band’s newest members got up to speed quickly, with Bobaflex sounding like a well oiled machine on their latest effort.

Singer-guitarist Shaun McCoy says, “This album came together so naturally. If you listen to the stories that are metaphors or the songs that are just straight forward, the band is purging a lot of our inner demons through our art. We have more beautiful harmonies than we’ve ever had. Those sections have a poetic eloquence to them. Other vocal sections have a fearless evil vibe to them. They’re violent and aggressive lyrics about murder, revenge and embracing death on different levels. Hence, the demonic side of the album!”

The disc has already yielded their buzzy cover of Pink Floyd’s “Hey You” and the band just issued an anthemic rocker called “Long Time Coming” that should keep the airwaves lit up for months to come.

You can look for Eloquent Demons arriving on Aug. 25 via BFX Records. A full track listing for the set can be found below and you can already purchase both “Hey You” and “Long Time Coming” via digital providers.

Meanwhile, Bobaflex have booked a wealth of tour dates with more to come. The band returns to the road Aug. 3 in Lafayette, La., and the group also has a special CD release show scheduled for Aug. 25 at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio. Tickets for that show can be purchased here. As for the rest of their dates, see the stops listed below and stay tuned to the band’s website as more shows and ticketing info will be revealed.

Once again, congrats to Bobaflex, as Eloquent Demons is the Loudwire August 2017 Release of the Month.
