Dave Grohl Ended Hiatus Six Months Early To Write New Foo Fighters

According to The Pulse Of Radio, FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl told Rolling Stone in a new interview that he cut a planned one-year hiatus in half to begin writing the band’s upcoming ninth album, “Concrete And Gold”. Grohl said that six months into his self-imposed break, he began writing the LP at an AirBnB he rented in Ojai, California. He recalled: “I brought a case of wine and sat there in my underwear with a microphone for about five days, just writing… It happened at the perfect time. I was inspired by what was going on with our country — politically, personally, as a father, an American and a musician. There was a lot to write about.”
