From The Press Release

Hi All – this week we have an X-rated Italian sleazefest for you in the shape of PORNO HOLOCAUST and WEREWOLF WOMAN. Plus, we have brand new exclusive release from One Way Static (NEKROMANTIK, DER TODESKING and final remaining copies of COBRA VERDE), along with the wonderful IT COMES AT NIGHT from our friends at Milan Records.

As always, new releases go on sale Wednesdays at NOON (CT).

WEREWOLF WOMAN (original title LA LUPA MANNA) is a 1976 Italian exploitation sleazefest with the emphasis on sex and violence. A beautiful young woman channels an ancient family lycanthropy curse into her hatred of men stemmed from horrific abuse at a young age. She finds, seduces, and rips out the throats of all suitors she stumbles across. It’s the kind of film that could (only?) be made by Italian’s in the ’70s with serious story undertones giving way to ever more blatant sex, nudity and blood. The score by Coriolano “Lallo” Gori is absolutely wild and we can’t believe it isn’t more well-known than it is. Propulsive percussion, theremins, mono synths, funk and jazz collide to create an incredibly captivating listen. Wild synths bubbling over skittering jazz drums is thrilling enough, but Gori intersperses some beautiful mellow themes throughout to temper the madness.

500 copies pressed on 180g colour in colour vinyl housed inside a 425gsm gloss varnish gatefold jacket.

The NEKROMANTIK score strikes a perfect balance of beauty, horror, joy and dissonance. The score is both minimalistic and hauntingly atmospheric at the core, and yet remarkably complex at the same time. A wide variety of instruments and sound effects are utilized throughout its making.

One Way Static released this exceptional soundtrack back in 2015 and it sold out in a matter of weeks. Due to ever-increasing popular demand over the years, today we proudly present to you a brand-new limited vinyl pressing with new cover art. This release also comes with an insert containing exclusive and extensive liner notes. Available as a limited classic black vinyl edition and as a color vinyl variant (200 copies black and grey swirl vinyl).

The Lo-Fi synthesizer music in the movie is dark and quirky and contributes an essential part of the movie’s atmosphere; it’s something you would very, very rarely hear otherwise. The main theme of the movie, “Die Fahrt ins Reich der Menschentrümmer part I-III” is a classical masterpiece. The score for DER TODESKING displays the dynamic ability and range of the composers. It strikes a perfect balance of beauty, horror, joy and dissonance. The score is both minimalistic and hauntingly atmospheric at the core, and yet remarkably complex at the same time. A wide variety of instruments and sound effects are utilized throughout its making.

One Way Static now proudly presents for the first time on vinyl as an expanded release, the complete soundtrack to DER TODESKING. This limited vinyl release contains the original soundtrack (released back in 1990 as a limited 7” EP) and unreleased material sourced from recently discovered tapes.
