Plugs Of Apocalypse – Deeper Than Hell (This Is Core) 2017

6

The current alternative metal scene is thriving, but for one reason or another, it seems that this is a genre often overlooked, probably because it’s a genre that encapsulates too many sonic elements, creating a lethal dose of clichés, but to be fair we must say that we should never judge a book by its cover…

Plugs of Apocalypse are back with their most ambitious effort to date, not just because they’ve totally changed their sound, but mostly because they’ve found the perfect way to communicate their feelings. Deeper Than Heel deals with subjects like depression, loneliness and sadness, but they’ve successfully tackled those issues with some hope and positivity. Strong and heavy melodic, they bravely changed their sound and it’s now easier to understand their emotions and their message. Deeper Than Hell is not perfect at all, it brings along those classic clichés of alternative and modern metal we mentioned before, we feel that this is a band that is still looking for their own sound, but with this new effort is for sure a great start.
