Horror loving Swedish thrashers F.K.U. have released the second single from their upcoming 1981 album, conveniently sharing a title with it’s release day, “Friday the 13th Pt.2“. The band celebrate by premiering the lyric video through Australian website Sentinel Daily.

1981 was recorded at The Overlook Studio in Gävle, Sweden and is produced by F.K.Ü., recorded by William Blackmon, mixed by Lawrence Mackrory & Daniel Bergstrand at Dugout Productions,and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory at Obey Mastering. The astonishing artwork by Tom Hodge from The Dude Designs.

As for the track, the band says, “”One of our favourite days of the year is here, Friday the 13th and what better way to celebrate it than to release the second single from our upcoming album 1981! We give you, the aptly titled “Friday the 13th Part 2?. Twice the terror, twice the thrash!”

“The idea with the album, inspired by Corpse Mania, Night School as well as the timeless classics Halloween II and “Friday the 13th Part 2” is to take the listener back to the old days. Back when you and your friends went to the local video store to rent video cassettes and weren’t able to download your movies from the internet”.
